Design project of the park at Novoshakhtisk. Kharkiv 175. Novoshakhtisk is rich in coal reserves. The first mention of the local coal dates back to 1696, when the peasant Grigory Kapustin, acting in pursuance of the decree of Emperor Peter I, explored the region of the river valley and discovered the coal seams coming out to the surface. Now in Novoshakhtisk, many coal mines are closed, but there are many waste heaps left - an artificial embankment from waste rocks extracted during underground mining of coal deposits. In this regard, themed embankments resembling waste heaps will be used at the playgrounds in the park. There will also be a waste heap zone for acquaintance with the history of the city. The park has a health trail and a cycle track.

The territory allocated for the central park of Novoshakhtisk has been empty for a long time, an ice palace is being built in the center of the site, so the project has to bypass this site. The concept of the park includes a sports and recreation function. The park has a central alley

with extensions for the areas of the fair and retail outlets (food courts), along the alley there are seating areas in the form of concrete benches with built-in flower beds, there are also «rockfall» zones where specially processed stones are scattered, which have a function of both sitting and playing for children.

The master plan has a dynamic composition, guiding people to the main sports areas. So the park is located: a zone in the form of a circle, including a basketball / football court, long jump, tennis court, street ball and workout, just below the dry fountain. There is a roller skating area nearby. On the other side of the alley there is a parking lot with access to the food court area. There is also a skate playground and a pump track nearby. In the lower part of the park there are playgrounds (0-7, 7-14 years old). Large square with shady trees and a stage. There is an amphitheater on the west side, and throughout the park there are quiet recreation areas with sun loungers and awnings.
